Ductless split systems are the ultimate room air conditioner and the cooling solution of choice for the majority of the world. Why? Because ductless split systems can deliver the quiet, unobtrusive zone cooling of a central system without the high cost or challenges of installing ductwork.

They’re ideal for additions or renovations, garage or attic conversions, sunrooms, interior rooms without windows or exterior walls and virtually any home without existing ductwork.

Like a central air conditioner, ductless split systems are two-piece systems with one part outdoors and one (or multiple) indoor units that distribute the conditioned air. Small electrical and refrigerant lines pass through a 3” hole in an exterior wall and connect the indoor and outdoor units. You will need a licensed professional to handle this part of the installation

Our systems come in a variety of configurations, so you can install the indoor unit(s) on a wall or, with adequate clearance, in the ceiling. And, you won’t be limited to placing the indoor unit in a room with an exterior wall. Unlike many other room cooling solutions, ductless split systems can be installed in interior rooms, even those without windows. Because products sold via the internet cannot be assured of quality installation by a qualified air conditioning contractor, Friedrich's expressed warranty may not apply to internet sales.

Friedrich supports and recommends that a qualified air conditioning contractor properly size and install all Friedrich Duct-Free Air Conditioning products for optimal performance and long life.

Cool Running Hospitality Supply agrees and fully supports this policy. Friedrich and Cool Running accept no responsibility for improperly installed units.

TWO YEAR WARRANTY: FRIEDRICH AIR CONDITIONING CO. (FRIEDRICH): warrants to the original end-user of this product that should it prove defective due to improper workmanship and/or material under normal use for a period of two years from the date of installation, FRIEDRICH will repair or replace, at its option, any defective part without charge for the part. Replacement parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR: or other cost incurred for servicing, repairing, removing, installing, shipping, or handling of either defective or replacement parts, or complete unit. Such cost may be covered by a separate warranty provided by the installing contractor.

THIRD THRU SIXTH YEAR COMPRESSOR WARRANTY: During the third through sixth year from the date of installation, should the compressor prove defective due to improper workmanship and/or material, FRIEDRICH will furnish a replacement compressor, at no charge, which is warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. LABOR IS NOT INCLUDED FOR INSTALLING REPLACEMENT COMPRESSOR.
